Range and charging

All about range and charging.

With its range of up to 426 (NEDC), the EQV is also suitable for longer distances. Five different recuperation levels and four different drive programs facilitate this.

Flexible charging options are available: Charge your EQV at home or along your route at public charging station. And with the flexible charging system you always have the right charging solution at your disposal. Find out how quick charging is, how long it takes and everything else you need to know about charging here.

Recuperation and drive programs

Experience mobility anew.

With the help of the ground-breaking MBUX multimedia system, various drive programs and recuperation levels, you will be able to drive and use the EQV with ease. Battery charging is used most efficiently in the "DAUTO" recuperation level, as the EQV automatically adjusts the intensity of recuperation in real-time to the driving situation.

The key features:

4 drive programs "E+", "E", "C" and "S" can be selected using the drive program switch in the centre console; the program is shown in the instrument cluster display

5 recuperation levels "D– –", "D–", "D", "D+" and "DAUTO" can be selected using the steering wheel gearshift paddles and are shown in the instrument cluster display

The recuperation level "DAUTO" is adjusted automatically using navigation data, traffic sign recognition as well as radar and camera information

Battery and battery certificate

Powerful and safe. A battery that meets Mercedes quality standards.

The high-voltage battery is the centrepiece of the new EQV. The battery is installed in the vehicle floor in order to fulfil the high Mercedes-EQ safety requirements. This also reduces the vehicle's centre of gravity.

The new EQV from Mercedes-EQ: battery certificate

Worry-free electric motoring.

The battery certificate means you can enjoy the all-electric driving experience in the new EQV from Mercedes-EQ without any worries. The battery certificate protects customers for up to 8 years or a mileage of 160,000 km against any financial burden should the high-voltage battery fall below the threshold of 180 Ah of residual capacity on the EQV 300.

FAQs

Your most important questions regarding electric driving.

    • Range

What range can be achieved with an EQV during everyday use?

Firstly, the range of your EQV is dependent on the vehicle configuration, and amongst other things on the selected maximum speed. The actual range is furthermore dependent upon the individual driving style, road and traffic conditions, outside temperature, and use of the climate control/heating system and other electrical consumers. The power availability display, the recuperation levels and the drive programs help you to use the battery charge as efficiently as possible and thus achieve a greater range.

    • AC and DC charging technology

What is the difference between AC and DC charging technology?

In principle, the batteries in electrified vehicles can only be charged with direct current (DC). To make charging possible, the vehicle is equipped with an on-board charger – an AC/DC converter. It converts the alternating current into the required direct current. Charging capacities of up to 11 kW for AC and DC 110kW are possible – depending on the performance of the charging cable and the charging infrastructure. With the flexible charging system both options are possible, as it contains the appropriate phase connector for many different charging situations.

    • Charging options

How do I charge my EQV?

You have a choice of charging options. You can fully charge the battery in less than 10 hours with a charging capacity of up to 11 kW. Plus there is a steadily growing number of public charging stations. At a DC rapid charging station you can charge your EQV from 10 to 80 % with a charging capacity of up to 110 kW
Maximum charging capacity at DC charging station with 400 volt supply, 300 A current; the maximum charging capacity depends on various factors, such as ambient and battery temperature and the state of charge of the battery when charging is started.
in about 45 minutes
Minimum charging time from 10 to 80 % under optimal conditions at DC charging station with 400 volt supply, 300 A current; the charging time may vary depending on various factors, such as ambient and battery temperature and when using additional auxiliary consumers, e.g. heating.
and with a charging capacity of up to 50 kW in about 75 minutes.

    • Charging cable socket

What charging cable connector can I use to charge my EQV?

Thanks to the Combined Charging System (CCS), the EQV offers you great flexibility at charging stations and wallboxes: it charges with up to 11 kW at charging points with alternating current (AC). At rapid charging stations using direct current (DC), you can even charge with up to 110 kW to increase the range fast. And in order that you have a suitable solution for a whole range of charging situations at hand, the flexible charging system offers corresponding phase connectors.

    • Battery certificate

Is there a warranty on the battery?

Should the capacity of your battery fall below 180 Ah residual capacity during the first 8 years or the first 160,000 km after initial registration, you are covered by the battery certificate. We will bear the costs of replacing the battery. And the best thing is: the battery certificate is included in the purchase price.

    • Efficiency

How do I drive my Mercedes-EQ EQV as efficiently as possible?

4 different drive programs and 5 recuperation levels assist you in maintaining an efficient driving style. Both functions enable you to optimise your electrical consumption and thus the range of your EQV.
