‘Reclaimed Sculpture’ is a series of artworks by environmental artist Zen Teh, that harnesses found or used materials as an artistic and conceptual genesis. Commissioned by Mercedes-Benz, this sculpture explores the notion of sustainability in material circularity and efforts towards achieving true sustainability. Materials used include reclaimed mirror, wood and parts repurposed from the Mercedes-Benz Concept Store.
The natural motif of land, air and sea fusing and emerging upwards is translated through photographic collages, wood pattern designs and sculptural forms. The sculptural forms emerging from the grounds of green (the moss formation) depict a sense of growth that is grounded on environmental awareness and human effort. These forms of nature are visually extended through the use of mirrors, and they multiply with every visitor's engagement as the forms of nature morph and change when viewed from different angles.
Reclaimed Sculpture: Land, Air, Sea is an installation artwork by Zen Teh in collaboration with product designers Zim (Abdul Azim Bin Awalluddin) and Timothy Tang Wei Mun.
