Highlights.
The anticipatory operating-mode strategy ensures as efficient energy use as possible: with the 3 drive programs "E+", "E" and "C" as well as the 5 recuperation stages "D–", "D", "D+", "D++" and "DAUTO", you can optimise the energy consumption and thus also the vehicle's range. As part of recuperation energy is recovered during vehicle deceleration. Recuperation stage "DAUTO" helps you to make the best use of the battery charge. It automatically matches the recuperation level to the driving situation.
The information and communication systems featuring numerous interfaces optionally provide excellent connectivity and valuable entertainment. Operation of the standard Audio 30 multimedia system via the 7-inch touchscreen is both intuitive and convenient. The system's stand-out highlights include smartphone integration as well as audio streaming and hands-free operation via Bluetooth®.

Well-protected high-voltage on-board electrical system.
The electrically powered vans from Mercedes-Benz are put through a demanding vehicle testing procedure and crash tests. Therefore, they are of the exemplary Mercedes-Benz standard in terms of safety.
The drivetrain, the high-voltage battery and the high-voltage lines are well protected. All high-voltage lines are carefully insulated. If the crash sensors detect a serious accident, the vehicle is automatically made voltage-free immediately.
Frequently asked questions and answers on the eVito.
-
How do I charge my electrically powered Mercedes-Benz van?
You have a choice of charging options. The most obvious choice: a charging solution specially designed for you to use at your premises. Plus there is a steadily growing number of public charging stations. At a DC rapid charging station, you can charge your eVito with up to 80 kW charging output in around 35 minutes from 10 to 80 %. A DC rapid charging station with up to 50 kW is included as part of the standard equipment. With an AC charging output of max. 11 kW, the battery can be charged from 0 to 100 % in under 6.5 hours.
-
What's the most efficient way to drive my electrically powered Mercedes-Benz van?
3 different drive modes and 5 recuperation stages assist you in maintaining an efficient driving style. Both functions enable you to optimise your electrical consumption and thus the range of your electrically powered van. Recuperation stage "DAUTO" helps you to make the best use of the battery charge. It automatically matches the strength of recuperation to the driving situation.
-
Can I load my electrically powered panel van like a vehicle with a combustion engine?
The eVito features the same spacious load compartment as a Vito Panel Van with a combustion engine, as the batteries are located in the vehicle underfloor. With a maximum loading volume of 6.6 m3 and sufficient payload, the eVito Panel Van is sure to meet the requirements of your working day.
-
How often does my electric van from Mercedes-Benz need servicing?
A yearly service is essential in order to guarantee the reliability of the high-voltage components and other vehicle parts. If a battery replacement is required, you will benefit from a battery certificate for a duration of eight years or a total distance of 160,000 km. Should you have any further questions about the maintenance of electric vehicles, your Mercedes-Benz Partner will be happy to help you.
-
What is more economical for me – an electric or a combustion engine van?
Depending on the usage profile and considering subsidies for electromobility, the total cost of ownership (TCO) of an electric van can easily equal that of a vehicle with a combustion engine. Should you have any further questions about TCO of electric vehicles, your Mercedes-Benz Partner will be happy to help you.
-
Does the battery have to be bought or leased separately?
The battery is included in the purchase price. This means that you will not incur any additional costs for battery rental. The financial risk of exchanging a battery when your battery capacity diminishes drastically is covered by the battery certificate. It is valid for up to 8 years or a total distance of 160,000 km from initial registration. Should you have any further questions on the topic of the battery or the battery certificate, your Mercedes-Benz Partner will be happy to help you.
-
Is there a warranty on the battery?
If the capacity of your battery diminishes drastically within the first 8 years or the first 160,000 km from the initial registration, you are covered by the battery certificate. We will bear the costs of replacing the battery. And the best thing is: the battery certificate is included in the purchase price.
-
Is a charging cable included with an electric van from Mercedes-Benz?
A charging cable is not included with your electrically powered van from Mercedes-Benz. As an option, there are 3 charging cables with a type 2 charging connector which are available to order. You can choose between 4 m, 5 m and 8 m lengths as well as between single-phase and 2-phase charging. The flexible charging system, combining several different phase connectors in a single, convenient set, is suitable for many different charging situations and can be obtained from your Mercedes-Benz Partner. Should you have any questions, your Mercedes-Benz Partner will be happy to assist you.
-
What are recuperation stages?
As part of recuperation energy is recovered during vehicle deceleration. For example, the battery charges when going downhill, instead of losing the energy when braking in the form of heat. You can set the strength of recuperation in 5 stages using the steering wheel gearshift paddles: D++ (0 m/s²), D+ (-0.8 m/s²), D (-1.6 m/s²), D- (-2.2 m/s²). Recuperation stage "DAUTO" helps you to make the best use of the battery charge. It automatically matches the strength of recuperation to the driving situation.
-
What daily range can be achieved by an electric van from Mercedes-Benz?
The range of your electrically powered van from Mercedes-Benz depends primarily on the vehicle configuration. The actual range is furthermore dependent upon the individual driving style, road and traffic conditions, outside temperature, and use of the climate control/heating system and other electrical consumers. The power display and the recuperation stages help you to use the battery charge as efficiently as possible and achieve a greater range.
-
Which charging connector can I use to charge my electrically powered Mercedes-Benz van?
Thanks to the Combined Charging System (CCS) you are very flexible with your eVito Panel Van when it comes to charging stations and wallboxes: it can be charged with up to 11 kW when using alternating current (AC) or with up to 50 kW with direct current (DC). You can optionally also quickly increase the range using DC rapid charging stations with up to 80 kW. The flexible charging system with several phase connectors ensures you are prepared for different charging situations.
