Highlights.
The Citan combines pleasure with utility: you'll enjoy working in its friendly interior. Functionality and comfort impress from the moment you get in until you get out, on all counts – from the pleasantly high seating position when driving to the low door and loading sills, which make loading much easier.
The comfortable driver's seat with back-friendly lateral support is breathable, hard-wearing and can be adjusted manually to the driver's needs, as can the height-adjustable steering wheel. All the controls are clearly laid out and easy to operate. The instrument cluster is easy to read and further enhances the vehicle interior. And the standard heating and ventilation system, as well as the practical stowage compartment concept make their own contribution towards a pleasant work atmosphere.
The strengths of the Citan will get you ahead in any job: you'll benefit from its compact versatility in constricted city traffic, and you'll fully enjoy its great tractive power on the road from town to town or on the motorway.
One of its torquey diesel engines, with outputs of 66 kW1 (90 hp), or its advanced petrol engine with its output of 84 kW2 (114 hp) is certain to suit your requirements profile. The innovative BlueEFFICIENCY technology3 reduces consumption and thereby enhances the economic efficiency of your company. Depending on the engine version, a 5-speed manual transmission is fitted that efficiently converts its driving power into traction. The optional 6G-DCT dual-clutch transmission4 combines the dynamic handling advantages of a manual transmission with the comfort of an automatic transmission system.
All the technical components are precisely attuned to one another – from the power steering and the springs/dampers setting of the suspension to the powerfully-gripping brakes. That means that you can always relax and enjoy the responsiveness of the Citan.
Mercedes-Benz sees it as its duty to ensure that its design for the Citan, as with all other vehicles, helps shape the future of mobility in a responsible and sustainable way. In particular in city traffic, the Citan more than lives up to this billing. The state-of-the-art engines and innovative BlueEFFICIENCY technology3 keep CO2 emissions and consumption at a low level. And thus the Citan is a good example with consumption figures starting at 4.7 l/100 km5.
In terms of cost-effectiveness too, the Citan makes perfect sense. Not just on account of its attractive pricing but also due to its low running costs, which result from efficient fuel consumption and its lengthy maintenance intervals of up to 20,000 km.
Advanced engines, electrically-assisted power steering and the shift point indicator are the basis for economically-efficient driving. The BlueEFFICIENCY package3 enables your vehicle to be even more efficient.

If the worst should come to the worst, the three-point seat belts with belt tensioner and belt force limiters give excellent support. In the event of an emergency braking manoeuvre the hazard warning lights are activated.
And the Citan is equipped with driver airbag, daytime driving lights and Hill-Start Assist as standard. The optional co-driver airbag and thorax bags6 can additionally reduce the risk of injury in an accident. The Citan Panel Van impresses in all 3 possible body lengths with loads of cargo space and great flexibility through the optional ladder flap, for example. The cab can accommodate up to 3 people, depending on the variant.
The most important benefits of the Panel Van:
- Multiple variants with the 3 body lengths compact, long and extra long for different cargo space requirements
- Large load compartment capacity with up to 3.8 m³ in the extra long variant, with space for one Euro pallet1 either longitudinally or transversely with the body length compact, 2 Euro pallets transversely with the body lengths long and extra long
- Space for up to 3 persons in the cab with the optional 2-seat passenger bench
- High flexibility when loading – including oversized items – thanks to many optional extras, such as via the ladder flap or the folding co-driver seat
In combination with the optional superior interior trim, the width between the wheelhouses no longer suffices for a Euro pallet.

* The stated figures were obtained in accordance with the prescribed measuring process. These are the "measured NEDC CO2 values" according to Article 2, No. 2 of Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/1152. Fuel consumption values have been calculated on this basis. As a result of statutory changes to crucial test methods, higher figures may have been entered in the vehicle's certificate of conformity, a document relevant to vehicle registration and vehicle tax. The figures do not apply to a specific vehicle and do not form part of the product offer; they are provided solely for the purpose of comparing different vehicle models.
