Saving fuel the easy way - the new Axor up to 240 kW can, in conjunction with manual transmission, be fitted with the engine start/stop system if desired. The system switches off the engine if the truck has been standing for at least three seconds, the transmission is in the idling position and the clutch is not engaged. When the driver depresses the clutch, the engine starts again automatically. This not only reduces CO2 emissions harmful to the environment, but also saves up to 3% in fuel. And it doesn't stop there: in addition to the economic and ecological benefits, because the engine start/stop system automatically switches the engine off and on, it makes life easier for the driver, lessens noise pollution in inner cities and reduces exhaust gas emissions.
