For over 25 years now racing cars with the three-pointed star have sped from victory to victory in the most popular touring car series in the world. Apart from winning numerous Manufacturers' Championship, legendary pilots such as for instance Klaus Ludwig and Bernd Schneider, have also won several driver's titles. Together with their teams they made the Mercedes-Benz C-Class the most successful vehicle in DTM history. This is the tradition in which Mercedes-AMG C63 DTM pulls up to the starting line in the 2015 season, with a total of 18 races scheduled. Toto Wolff, Head of Mercedes-Benz Motorsport: "The new DTM season promises to be extremely exciting. While two races per weekend mean a fresh challenge for all drivers and teams, this will also be a great experience for the fans. 100% more racing gets the thumbs-up and shows that we listen to our fans. As regards our choice of drivers, we’re going for continuity and fresh blood."Six of the Mercedes-Benz works drivers - including champions Gary Paffett and Paul di Resta, contested the DTM last season for the brand with the three-pointed star. Lucas Auer from Austria and German driver Maximilian Götz are new to the team. Maximilian Götz is the perfect example of a driver successfully making the move up from Mercedes-AMG’s Customer Sport Programme to the DTM.
