Winning over hearts. And awards: the innovative design of Mercedes-Benz.
Double win at GOOD DESIGN™ Award
Both the new E-Class Cabriolet and the F800 Style received the 2010 GOOD DESIGN™ Award, established 60 years ago by Eero Saarinen und Charles Eames, from The Chicago Athenaeum, the renowned design and architecture museum.
Never goes with the flow – defines it: The new E-Class Cabriolet was the only cabriolet to win the coveted red dot design award in 2010. The award has been given out since 1955 under the patronage of the Design Zentrum Nordrhein-Westfalen in Essen, Germany.
The red dot award is one of the most famous design awards in the world. In 2010 the international jury of experts presented the SLS AMG with its highest honour, the "best of the best".
Outstanding in design contests as well: the SLS AMG received the "iF product design award 2010" in the Transportation Design" segment. The iF product design award was established in 1953 and is one of the most prestigious honours in the design world.
Victory after victory: a total of 7 Mercedes-Benz vehicles ranked among the top three in the reader’s choice of the Auto Bild Design Award 2010, including the E-Class Estate model, the E-Class Cabriolet and the F800 Style. The SLS AMG triumphed as the overall winner in both Germany and Europe.
Triumph for the best of the best: the legendary 300 SLR "Uhlenhaut" received the "Best of Show" award at the Retro Classics 2010, and the SLS AMG was named a "Neoclassic".
