With DIRECT SELECT you can use the selector lever behind the steering wheel to change gears, or you can shift the gears manually using the buttons on the steering wheel. Perfect roadholding characteristics are achieved with the optional AIRMATIC package (standard for ML 500 and ML 63 AMG) which includes air suspension and the Adaptive Damping System (ADS) for sporty handling with impressive comfort.
